Hi there! I’m Shlomi Ron, the heart and soul behind the Visual Storytelling Institute (VSI), a cozy little think tank I started right here in sunny Miami.
Imagine a space where art and marketing come together in the most meaningful ways—that’s been my happy place for a decade now. For the past 20+ years, I’ve worn quite a few hats in digital marketing with global brands like Nokia, IBM, and American Express. But over time, I realized I wanted something more personal—something that blended my love for classic Italian cinema and my experience managing the estate of video art pioneer Buky Schwartz.
That spark led me to create VSI, a space where strategy meets creativity. We help brands stand out and truly connect through the power of visual storytelling—whether it’s through hands-on consulting, memorable training sessions, or thought leadership that challenges the status quo.
Along the way, we’ve partnered with inspiring teams at companies like Estée Lauder, Microsoft, and Cable & Wireless. And because I believe in sharing what I’ve learned, I’ve been teaching Brand Storytelling at the University of Miami Business School for over four years now.
You might also know me from the Visual Storytelling Today podcast—one of the top 10 business storytelling shows—or my long-running Visual Storytelling Newsletter. I love diving into new tech like ethical AI and exploring how it can help us tell more meaningful stories.
And yes, I even wrote a book! Total Acuity: Tales with Marketing Morals to Help You Create Richer Visual Brand Stories is my love letter to the craft of storytelling.
When I’m not mentoring startups or speaking at events, you’ll probably find me baking sourdough, listening to The Moth, or tipping my fedora to the golden age of film.
So, what’s your story? Let’s make it unforgettable—together.
